The Garden
It's amazing what you can do with an E in A-Level French, a bit of imagination, and a chainsaw.

Le Potager
How to build a vegetable garden. From scratch. Using boards cut from your own tree trunks.
The BBQ
My BBQ is an upcycled water tank from the cellar at Chateau Edwards. Here is how it progressed from an idea to reality

The Treehouse
It all started with my daughters asking for a treehouse...
So I built one, using the wood I had leftover from chopping down my pine trees.
The Log Circle
There is a great pleasure to be derived from neatly stacked wood, following advice from Lars Mytting. Due to a Bark Beetle infestation that has wiped out thousands of hectares of trees, I had to cut down around 15 trees, and then decide how i was going to deal with all of the pine logs.
During the first Covid-19 lockdown, I was made redundant from my job, so I had a bunch of spare time on my hands, so while the rest of the world was shut inside, teleworking, I was outside, splitting wood for an hour a day. It will get you very fit!
It's been almost 2 years now, so it will be time to start dismantling the circle and slowly restack it for firewood next year. In total, this was about 9 cubic metres.
"If you build it, they will come"

The Stackwall
I needed to split the garden for the dog so he would be separated from the chickens. A fence I would like to look at was the goal.
Reuse, recycle, repurpose
The Staircase
Stripping off the old paint, sanding the boards to look like new, staining the exposed wood. Very, very satisfying.
