"Daddy, do you want to build a Treehouse?"
A simple question, to which every father can only say yes.
The goal is to make a treehouse for the kids that they can sleep in, using the trees and wood that are available here in the forest at Chateau Edwards. It is suspended between three trees and a stump that holds the frame in place. Once I had identified the site to put it, it's a project that I return to when I have the time.
Wherever possible, I have reused as much as is possible, redeploying bolts, L-brackets where I can, but still trying to keep the same theme of reusing the material that is available here in abundance. It's a work in progress, but I love it and so do my kids.

I use an attachment to my Husqvarna chainsaw with a special milling chain that has a chain cut at a 25-degree angle. This allows you to cut any boards to any thickness you want.
